8th Grade Boys Beat Highland Lakes!

Posted in Uncategorized on October 22, 2008 by mrsmccoy

For the first time my volleyball team won in only 2 games, defeating the higher ranked 4th seek Highland Lakes team.  It was awesome.  The team played the best they ever have!  Tyler K and Kyle F were awesome serving, Ryan N dominated at the net, and Colby M was everywhere doing everything.  The whole team came together.  We now play the top seeded Hillcrest on Thursday in order to get to the championship round!

GO COLTS!

Geo Bee 2008-09

Posted in Announcements on October 12, 2008 by mrsmccoy

I am taking over the Geo Bee this year, so for those of you interested in competing in the school wide competition this year and possibly advancing to the state competition in January, come by my room (302) on Wednesday, October 15 after school for a qualifying exam.  There will be 25 questions and should take you no longer than 30 minutes.

Those who qualify will meet with me once a week on Thursdays starting in November and going until the first week of January.  The school wide competition is January 8, 2009.

The top 10 finishers in the school wide competition will spend the day with me and another staff member to attend the state wide competition at ASU in April.

I am looking forward to a fun and rewarding experience with the Geo Bee!
